The following appointments to Heads of Department at the Reserve Bank of Australia have
been made.

• 
  Dr Penelope Smith has been promoted to Head of International Department in the
  Financial Markets Group from the position of Deputy Secretary.

  

• 
  Ms Andrea Brischetto has been promoted to Head of Financial Stability Department in
  the Financial System Group from Deputy Head of the Domestic Markets Department.

  

These changes follow the secondment of Dr Alexandra Heath to the
Commonwealth Treasury from Head of International Department, and the transfer of Dr
Jonathan Kearns to Head of Domestic Markets in the Financial Markets Group from Head of
Financial Stability Department. The resulting vacancies will be advertised in due course.
